“MS FIELD –AND I’M AFRAID  IT WILL ALWAYS BE MS FIELD –ANNE  DOESN”T SEEM RIGHT .  Nicola, one of the organising Committee , addressed her October 13 2014 email to me with this statement .

St George Girls High School each year had over 900 students –this is a conservative figure of 32,400 students over my 35 years at the school, as a member of the Social Science staff.

I cannot remember the names of all my former students –I usually have to ask them “to refresh my memory with their names when I meet them.” However, I am always interested to know what the girls have done after leaving St George Girls.

I have attended a number of reunions over the years –some 10 and 20 year reunions, but now increasingly 30 year reunions.

Ex -students of St George Girls are located in many countries around the world. They have moved in diversified directions after leaving St George  Girls .They are a wonderful  resource of talent , inspiration and experience   to the current students.

What unites the” jolly girls of St George Girls” is their old school tie. Many will return to the school in April 2016, when St George Girls High School reaches 100 years.
